Meet our Management Team


Anand founded Optimized Payments in 2007. Under his leadership, Optimized Payments has helped Fortune 100 to mid-sized companies save over $180 million in interchange and processing fees.

Anand has also led the effort to revolutionize payments analytics…creating a scalable hosted solution that centralizes, normalizes and analyzes billions of payments records and identifies actionable insights. Anand is a noted payments expert and has spoken at numerous conferences included MAG, AFP, New England AFP, NACHA, MRC, CNP Expo and Money 20/20.


Joey is an interchange expert with over 10 years of experience in implementing cost management strategies for large merchants, particularly in the hospitality industry.

Previously, Joey worked for Elavon where he created and managed services that helped clients optimize their payment costs, through interchange and chargeback management solutions. His clients included the largest airlines, hotels and merchants processing billions in annual card sales.


Monika has over 10 years of merchant acquiring and consulting experience, first as a merchant and then as a consultant. Monika leads Optimized Payments team for new client onboarding, account management and marketing plan development.

Monika’s efforts have helped Optimized Payments streamline new client data analysis and visualization within days, instead of weeks or months.

Director of Technology

Troy has over 20+ years’ experience as a developer and database administrator. Troy manages the Optimized Payments analytics solution and creates ETL processes to consume and normalize daily data from numerous sources; including, merchant acquirers, American Express, Discover, PayPal, private label cards, and delivers them to centralized cloud databases.


Cory has 28 years of merchant acquiring and lending experience and focuses on business development with a particular focus on the Canadian market. Cory is adept at managing complex issues ranging from strategic planning, compliance, and go-to-market analysis, through ongoing product development and implementation of integrated EMV, contactless, and mobile payments solutions.

Previously, Cory was SVP and Country Manager for Elavon/US Bank in Canada. Cory began by developing a comprehensive strategic plan for the market entry and attained their Visa, MasterCard and Interac licensing. He followed that by developing the business and internal technology vital to their operations. Today, Elavon has approximately 12% market share in Canada with over $80MM in revenue.

Senior Advisor

Michael has 35 years of global payments and treasury management experience. He is a noted speaker at national and regional industry conferences and author of articles on payments innovation, merchant fees, and bank relationship management. Michael is currently on the Executive Board of the New England Association for Financial Professionals (NEAFP) and was chairman of the New England Automated Clearing House Association from 2000-2002.

Previously, Michael held executive positions with several U.S. based financial institutions including Citibank, Bankers Trust, State Street Bank, Bank of American and US Bank, where he led organizations in generating annuity based revenue streams from fortune 500 corporations across North America.
